RESPIRATORY FIT TESTING

*MOBILE ONSITE & IN-HOUSE

Quantitative Fit Testing

Fit testing typically refers to the process of testing the effectiveness of personal protective equipment (PPE), such as respirators or masks, to ensure a proper fit on an individual's face. This is particularly important in environments where there is a risk of exposure to harmful airborne contaminants or infectious agents. Fit testing helps ensure that the PPE forms a tight seal around the wearer's face, preventing leakage of contaminated air into the breathing zone. Quantitative fit testing uses instrumentation to measure the amount of leakage.

Fit testing is crucial for ensuring the safety and effectiveness of PPE and is often required by regulatory agencies or workplace safety standards. It should be conducted regularly, especially when there are changes in facial features, such as weight gain or loss, or when using a different brand or model of respirator.
